Joseph had to be brought into the world 11 weeks premature and the family of the 28-year-old mum were told she might not survive the procedure. It wasn’t until October 4 that Sophie, who has two other children under nine, was able to hold her baby for the first time.Sophie woke up in Royal Liverpool Hospital to discover she had become a mum for a third time but that Covid had changed her life too.‘And I had to learn to eat again after undergoing a tracheotomy. It’s been hard and there is a long road ahead.’
