Mulvaney optimistic on U.S.-China trade deal if not infrastructure
A U.S.-China trade deal could be done in two weeks, acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney said Tuesday at the Milken Institute. But he said it's also possible a deal won't get done. "We are not going to do a deal for the sake of doing a deal," he said. Mulvaney also cast doubt on the prospects of an infrastructure deal getting through Congress, saying there's not enough interest by Democrats in loosening environmental laws.
