The Mountain View Fire Department responds to a fire on the third floor of an apartment building on Sunday. Firefighters knocked the blaze down within 20 minutes of arriving on scene. An apartment fire Sunday morning on the 2600 block of Fayette Drive in Mountain View left nine residents displaced, authorities said.
The Mountain View Fire Department received a call to the fire at 11:33 a.m., according to Robert Maitland, public information officer. Firefighters arrived at 11:40 a.m. and had knocked down the fire by 11:58 a.m.
