A 72-year-old San Diego man died Friday in a motorcycle crash on Interstate 8 in La Mesa, the California Highway Patrol said Tuesday.
The man was headed west about 8:50 p.m. when he lost control of a 2017 Harley Davidson bike near Jackson Drive, the CHP said. The motorcycle overturned, and the man was thrown off the bike.Investigators believe the man was intoxicated, CHP Officer Jared Grieshaber said. He did not specify if alcohol or drugs or both were suspected factors. The investigation was ongoing.
