Simon Jordan insists Farhad Moshiri is to blame for Everton's current woes, rather than Rafa Benitez or Frank Lampard EFC
on new signings since Moshiri came on board in February 2016, but currently find themselves embroiled in a relegation battle. Many have been quick to blame Benitez –and struggled to win over fans with his Liverpool connections – for the club’s current struggles.
“Benitez took the job because he was offered it, the people that appointed him are culpable for the particular conundrums they’ve got. Jim White then asked Jordan who he would blame for Everton’s current situation: Moshiri, Benitez, or Lampard. “If Everton have all their ducks in a row when you’ve got Frank Lampard coming in, a fledgling manager, who I believe still will be a top manager, but these experiences are quite debilitating for him. “Paul Clement and his backroom staff need to do a little bit more because they’re supposed to be elite coaches to bridge the gap between Frank Lampard.”
