We're less than two weeks away from Election Day, and one of the biggest races we're following locally is for Monroe County Executive.
Democratic incumbent Adam Bello is facing a challenge from Republican Mark Assini, and Thursday night, the pair faced off in aBoth candidates got a chance Thursday to share their views on a range of topics, including the recent issue of asylum seekers in the county.
"We have to care about our people and take care of them,. Charity begins at home," Assini said. "If I'm elected county executive, I'm going to stop the flow of migrants to this community." The pair also discussed the sharp rise in vehicle thefts this year, which is another major topic on the minds of voters.
