The MLA said the Good Friday Agreement achieved relative peace but 'there's still so much more work to do'
An MLA born in 1998 has told how he first became aware of the Good Friday Agreement "possibly for the wrong reasons".
The openly gay politician told Belfast Live: "I first became aware of the Good Friday Agreement in 2015, possibly for the wrong reasons. Power-sharing resumed in 2020 but has not been functioning since last year when the DUP walked out in protest against Brexit's Northern Ireland Protocol. "We have achieved relative peace, but I believe there's still so much more work to do. I still grew up in a divided society where my community background dictated so much about my life.
From the Northern Ireland Protocol to other thorny issues inside Stormont and exclusive interviews - we’ve got you covered."Where I grew up, where I went to school, what street I lived on, which football teams I could support, and even what my political views should be."
