Jill Dolan's family never expected the danger they ran into when trying to leave Haiti through Port-au-Prince two weeks ago. She said gang-related gunfire erupted outside the airport, prompting her flights to be canceled.
From a compound about a mile from the airport, she told KOMO News over Zoom on Wednesday her goal is to make it to her daughter's wedding in late March but claims there's not much help for American civilians who are stranded.“No one’s flying anywhere in Haiti, and so you cannot drive.
