Updated October 01, 2023 12:42 AMSTARKVILLE, Miss. — No. 12 Alabama went on the road and picked up an impressive 40-17 win Saturday night, steadily rolling over the Bulldogs behind a dominating ground game that was consistent throughout.
Milroe completed 10-of-12 passes on the night after not attempting a single pass until late in the second quarter. He totaled 164 yards through the air, but he did even more damage on the ground, rushing 69 yards and two scores."He's just a really good athlete," Mississippi State head coach Zach Arnett said after the game."You know, a broken play for a touchdown, he picked up a fumbled snap, I believe. He's done that in another game, too, actually, for a touchdown.
After the game, Arnett was also asked about Mississippi State's struggles with opposing quarterbacks having high completion percentages, such as Milroe's 83 percent mark tonight. He again credited Milroe's instinctive abilities for his success.
