The plans will also introduce a new one-way system in the busy area
The Infrastructure Minister has given an update on plans to pedestrianise parts of Cathedral Quarter in Belfast city centre.
"A one-way system from the north end of Hill Street and into Gordon Street will also be included as part of this scheme. I can confirm that the informal consultation on the proposed pedestrianisation is planned for April 2024." The long talked about plans come after a trial scheme banning vehicles from the street during the Covid-19 pandemic ended amid a mixed response from businesses.
