The first look for this summer’s 'Minions: The Rise of Gru' dropped during the SuperBowl

If not, it doesn’t really matter, as the trailer suggests the movie can stand alone outside of any larger continuity concerns.with Pierre Coffin takes the lead on directing this latest chapter alongside Brad Ableson, with Brian Lynch returning to write.
Coffin’s won’t be the only familiar voice in the movie; Steve Carell returns to voice a nascent Felonious Gru, with other actors lending their vocal talents to the movie including Russell Brand, Kevin Hart, Margot Robbie and Dave Bautista.
