Milton Viorst, a journalist who explored subjects from the 1960s rights struggles to Middle East strife, including assertions that massive U.S. military aid to Israel has hurt chances for peace, died Dec. 9 at a hospital in Washington. He was 92.

He chronicled history-shaping topics such as theof President John F. Kennedy, the civil rights movement and the Watergate scandal.
