Believing and Mill Stream has been supplemented at a cost of £20,000 for this Saturday's Betfair Sprint Cup at Haydock Park.
Mill Stream, who is owned by Peter Harris, has won his last two starts at Deauville in France. The three-year-old Gleneagles colt won the Listed Prix Moonlight Cloud at the start of last month and followed that up with victory in the Group Three Prix de Meautry last week. Both his French wins came over six furlongs – the same distance as Saturday’s contest. Mill Stream is a best-priced 11-1 with Paddy Power and sponsors Betfair.
The Julie Camacho-trained Shaquille is a warm favourite to continue his Group One-winning exploits on Merseyside. The three-year-old has already won at the top level this season, taking the Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot before beating his elders in the July Cup at Newmarket. Aidan O'Brien has two entries in Aesop's Fables and The Antarctic and other possibles for the Group One sprint are Ed Bethell's course and distance winner Regional, the William Haggas-trained Sacred – second in the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot – and July Cup runner-up Run To Freedom from Henry Candy's stable.
