Three Milby High School students were inside a vehicle that lost control and crashed through a bridge barrier. Two of them were able to escape, but the body of the third was recovered.
HOUSTON, Texas -- A Milby High School student's body was pulled from Brays Bayou on Monday afternoon several hours after the vehicle she was in plunged off a bridge in east Houston.
The victim was one of three teens who were occupants of the vehicle that authorities say lost control and went off a bridge in the 100 block of Broadway near Hockley Street. Two of the teens managed to free themselves and make it to safety as the vehicle submerged, crews on the scene said. It's not immediately known how the vehicle went out of control. The conditions of the surviving teens were also not disclosed.A couple of people at the scene who were not first-responders were also spotted, reacting emotionally, but it is not immediately known who those people were.
