Mike Tindall dishes on boozy first meeting with Zara Phillips and I'm a Celebrity campmate Owen Warner makes another hilarious gaffe
Former England rugby ace Mike Tindall opened up about meeting his royal wife Zara while getting to know his campmates on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! The 44-year-old, who was a member of the English rugby union squad which won the 2003 World Cup, admitted that they discovered they 'both quite like getting smashed' during their 'boozy' first date.
And Owen raised laughs among viewers watching at home on Monday night as he asked "Is she Australian?" about the daughter of Princess Anne and Captain Mark Phillips, who is 20th in the line of succession to the British throne. Owen, who is known for playing Romeo Nightingale in the Channel 4 soap, already had fans in stitches over Sunday night's launch episode when asking about what campmate Scarlette Douglas was known for. Singing legend Boy George said: “She’s from A Place In The Sun." But Owen replied: "Whereabouts?" to which the Culture Club star told him: "No, like the TV show."
Mike explained about meeting Zara: “I was at the World Cup, she was out watching. I got dropped from the semi-final. I was p****d off and so I went for a beer with another guy who got dropped and a guy who was over [in Sydney]. They’d met her before and they introduced us and then got chatting.”
