Will Flanagan's next Netflix show have monologues?

Mike Flanagan has developed a unique, recognizable style in his years as one of Hollywood’s pre-eminent horror filmmakers.
The Fall Of The House Of Usher Will Bring Back Flanagan's Trademark Monologues However, not all of Flanagan’s projects have included as much monologuing as The Haunting of Hill House or Midnight Mass. The ‘90s horror anthology throwback The Midnight Club, released in October 2021, was an adaptation of author Christopher Pike’s young adult novel of the same name. Although the show still featured plenty of pathos , The Midnight Club included far fewer monologues than Flanagan’s earlier shows.
Why The Midnight Club Didn't Feature Long Monologues Flanagan himself told Empire that The Midnight Club didn’t feature as many soliloquies as his earlier shows because he wouldn’t subject younger viewers to an eight-minute monologue. The Fall of the House of Usher’s colorful palette has already proven that the series will be a lively outing for Flanagan, and the director promised that the Giallo-indebted miniseries would be a wild, gory, funny ride.
