Rangers to go for Servette jugular as Michael Beale rules out 'hold what we've got' Champions League approach

Michael Beale says Rangers will go for the jugular as they seek to sever Servette’s Champions League lifeline.

The Gers gaffer said: “We’ve come to win. We’ve come to win and if we perform to our level that gives us a good chance. We want to be positive and on the front foot wherever we go, so there won’t be too much of a change in our normal setup. One thing’s for sure, we’re not coming here to hold on to what we’ve got.

It’s 20 years since Servette moved into their Stade de Geneve home but this evening’s clash will see the 30,000-seater arena record its first ever sell out. But Beale reckons his side will be excited rather than intimidated by the prospect of running out in front of the sizzling Swiss crowd. Beale is boosted by a clean bill of health as he looks to set up a showdown with either PSV Eindhoven or Strum Graz in the final eliminator for the group stages. Wieler, meanwhile, welcomes back suspended star Enzo Crivelli and Cameroon midfielder Gael Ondoua, while crocked main man Miroslav Stevanovic hopes to take a place on the bench after training with his team-mates yesterday.
