At least 25 people were killed in a devastating bus crash in the Mexican state of Oaxaca Wednesday morning, state officials confirmed, in the latest deadly crash in the southern Mexican region.The crash took place in the village of Magdalena Peñasco, roughly 150 miles southeast of Mexico City, when a Yosondua line bus lost control of its brakes, causing the bus to roll over and fall roughly 60 feet into a ravine, according to a statement from local officials.
First responders from the Oaxaca city of Tlaxiaco’s Public Safety office initially reported that 26 people were injured in the crash, including an unidentified number of minors, and 20 more people were killed—local officials are working to identify those killed in the accident.
