Digitally coded ID badges will admit visitors only to the floor where their loved-one is hospitalized, to protect patient privacy. The hospital system expects to be able to fully staff Glick, despite the national and local shortage of healthcare workers. Glick was budgeted at $759 million, but actually cost less — about $670 million, Boutros said. Staying on schedule with minimal delays and pre-purchased materials allowed the hospital system to save money.
