Aside from the color, the AMG GT will also feature Federer's "RF" logo. Naturally, it's the top version of this AMG model, the newthat pairs a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 with an electric motor on the rear axle for staggering output figures. It produces a total of 831 horsepower and 1082 pound-feet of torque. The plug-in-hybrid model isn't on sale in the U.S. yet but is slated to arrive here sometime next year.
Federer is a 20-time Grand Slam champion and will play alongside longtime rival Rafael Nadal in a doubles match at the Laver Cup later today. His retirement announcement follows that of fellow tennis legend Serena Williams, who announced last month that she is "evolving" away from tennis. A 23-time Grand Slam champion herself, Williams played her last match at the U.S. Open just a few weeks ago.
