Kenwood Allen, 33, had already been indicted six months ago for allegedly killing two people during a robbery spree that spanned from March to December 2022.
last year was indicted Wednesday on three more murder charges in the months-long spree, the district attorney’s office said.
“These alleged pernicious drugging and robbery schemes have left far too many families mourning the loss of their loved ones,” Bragg said in a statement. During his nightmarish campaign in lower Manhattan, Allen allegedly drugged his victims with fentanyl or other opioids before lifting their credit cards, watches, phones or other personal items.
The crimes turned deadly when two of the victims — Nurbo Shera and Ardijan Berisha — overdosed on the drugs Allen allegedly gave them. A Manhattan grand jury indicted him for their deaths in December.
