Meghan Markle revealed her holiday tips on The Tig, her lifestyle blog
With the holiday season now ending, many will already be planning their next trip and will no doubt be looking for some location ideas.
The location is known to have amazing shopping, desserts and stunning buildings. However, the Duchess of Sussex described her trip there as a "dizzying" whirlwind, as her stay was just two days long, and during that short spell she intended to see and do as much as she could in the historic city. The cultural capital of Turkey is split in two by the Bosporus sea strait, with each side of the bank having its own unique character. Meghan continued: “Equal parts invigorating and dizzying, 48 hours in Istanbul is indeed an undertaking.
The Duchess of Sussex also likely visited some of the city’s mosques, many of which enjoy world famous reputations and are almost unrivalled in their splendour. While the Duchess’ choice of accommodation might be out of budget for many Brits, there are many reasonably priced hotels in Istanbul. Turkish food is world-famous and tourists should indulge with a typical Turkish breakfast of eggs, yoghurt, cheese and breads.
