Because land is so expensive, we’re looking at some innovative ways to get entry level ownership product that people can afford, to get rental single-family product that people can afford.
In coming weeks, staff will consult with legal counsel on structure and will develop guidelines for the CLT. The McKinney Housing Finance Corporation will likely operate the CLT until a nonprofit partner can be secured.
