McKinney-based The Warrior Connection veterans outreach program hires its first CEO.

Elizabeth Fields has been named as the chief operating officer of The Warrior Connection.Former Gary Sinise Foundation executive Elizabeth Fields has been named the first chief executive officer of McKinney-basedFields, a Grapevine resident, previously served as chief operating officer at the Sinise charity, which was established under the philanthropic direction of actor Gary Sinise.is to end veteran suicide and repair family relationships.

“[Fields] is a proven executive with the right mix of skills, abilities, experience, and an outstanding professional network to lead The Warrior Connection well into the future,” chairman Peter F. May said in a prepared statement. Fields, whose father served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, has more than 20 years of development experience, working in veterans organizations, higher education, public radio and first-responder agencies, according to the release.

“I look forward to working with leadership, volunteers, and donors in enhancing our mission to help veterans and their families who sacrifice so much in service to our country,” Fields said in a statement.
