The $174,000 raised in support of Proposition C, London Breed’s measure to waive transfer taxes for office-to-housing conversions, far outstrips opponents
Contributions for the campaign to pass Proposition C — Mayor London Breed’s ballot measure to waive transfer taxes for conversions of offices into housing — are far outstripping those for the opposition, with money pouring in from real estate developers, apartment owners and a prominent tech CEO.

TMG Partners, another real-estate development company, donated $15,000, with firm Chairman and co-CEO Michael Covarrubias’s name next to it.

Most of the opponents’ funds came from a single $25,000 donation of personal funds made by Supervisor Dean Preston, who is part of a coalition of people that has been warning that Proposition C is really intended to let supervisors cut transfer taxes without voter approval.
