Mayhem and twisted metal on the unassuming roundabout drivers call the worst in Lancashire
Furious drivers say an unassuming market town roundabout is quickly becoming the worst in the whole of Lancashire.
Ann suggests the traffic lights are the problem, stating they can be "lethal" as people go through them on amber and red when they shouldn't be. Agreeing with Ann, another motorist has simply labelled the area a "complete and utter nightmare", but have to use the route on a regular basis. "Surely at best this is incompetence and at worse is worthy of legal action by Highways? Months were spent surveying and likewise the Archaeological surveying in the Area. Remember a similar excuse was made re the Water Main by Thornton lodge was causing unseen problems and Skippool road was closed for weeks. Folks are correct to guess that due to inclement weather this Autumn."
She's "disappointed" with the news that the roadworks are delayed, adding: "It’s very disappointing, they say there will be some improvement to the flow of traffic but that doesn’t include Breck Road, where the jam is backed up to the civic centre and beyond, it also doesn’t help that the traffic lights at Norcross are less than reliable."
