The Browns hosted the Ravens on Sunday afternoon.
And while the defense has been stout for most of the season so far, Sunday was their season-worst performance relinquishing 297 NET yards.
On Sunday against the Ravens, they forced two straight three-and-outs, but then gave up a 10-yard TD on a one-play drive thanks to a big interception return by Baltimore’s Brandon Stephens that gave the Ravens great field position. Things really went haywire midway through the second quarter when Lamar Jackson connected with Mark Andrews for a big 36-yard gain and the Ravens added explosive runs of 15 and 22 yards from Justice Hill and Melvin Gordon III, respectively.
All of that is to say, Baltimore did what no other team has done so far and found some holes in this Jim Schwartz scheme -- the Browns also at time looked sloppy with missed tackles. It will be a long road post bye with little downtime for corrections, so to that extent, it’s still bad.
