A Vision show has been gestating for years, but according to a new report, Marvel finally hired a showrunner for the Disney+ series.
In 2021, WandaVision brought the Marvel Cinematic Universe to the small screen for the first time. It was the first Disney+ series produced by Marvel Studios, with Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany reprising their respective roles as Wanda Maximoff and Vision. We saw the epilogue of Wanda's story in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but the mysterious White Vision from the finale vanished without a trace.
Initially, WandaVision creator Jac Schaeffer planned to head up a Vision series for Disney+, but she eventually decided to focus on an Agatha Harkness spinoff instead. Agatha All Along will be set after WandaVision as well and premieres on September 18, 2024. As Variety notes, this will be the first new live-action show Marvel has picked up in close to two years.
