People earning less than £50,000 are set to see a difference

Martin Lewis has highlighted how Stamp Duty and other tax changes will affect millions of households in the UK. The Money Saving Expert founder has been keeping his fans up-to-date with the latest news as the cost of living crisis worsens.

On Friday Chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng unveiled a "new growth plan" - part of which will see Stamp Duty cut. The nil rate band will be doubled from £125,000 to £250,000.This means 200,000 more people every year will be able to buy a home without paying any Stamp Duty at all - and the standard buyer in England will save £2,500, according to Gov.uk.
