Lord Mandelson will stand down next January
Manchester Metropolitan University has announced a new chancellor to replace Peter Mandelson. Lord Mandelson has held the role since April, 2016, but is standing down and will be succeeded from January 1, 2025, by Antony Jenkins.

It is, therefore, with great pride that I have accepted the opportunity to serve as chancellor of one of the largest and most applied to universities in the UK. It is an additional pleasure given I was born and raised in the North West.
