David Hanzel wasn't greeted by the 'pearly gates' but instead by a much more familiar location
A man who died and was brought back to life has described what he saw in the 'afterlife' - and it wasn't quite the pearly gates synonymous with death. What happens when we die is a huge mystery, with many people often wondering what sights will greet them after they take their last breaths on Earth.
David explained: “When they took me in, they had to do surgery. I had 70 per cent of my lung covered in infection and I had sepsis - it was running all through my body." David said: “I just remember closing my eyes because I was sick. And then when I opened my eyes back up, I was in this night sky. It was the most beautiful, velvety, silky night sky. No clouds. No stars. No nothing. And there wasn't a beginning or end to it.”
