Rio Ferdinand was jokingly called out by Manchester United after they produced an excellent comeback against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
Taiwo Awoniyi raced through on goal and beat Andre Onana inside 120 seconds, with Willy Boly doubling their lead almost instantly. Steve Cooper's men had somehow managed to score twice from their two attacks. Casemiro levelled the scoreline just seven minutes into the second half and when Marcus Rashford was fouled in the area, Fernandes had the chance to give his side the lead. The Portuguese midfielder duly slammed his spot-kick into the bottom corner, turning the tide.
United's social media team saw the opportunity to poke fun at their former player, replying to his tweet with: "Wakey wakey!" And as ever, Ferdinand took the jibe on good faith, replying: "I'm here guys."
