Either would be smart additions but they are different players and Ten Hag would have to asses whose attributes he needs more. That's not to say Onana isn't effective on the ball, though. He actually made more carries into the final third of the pitch, received the ball in an attacking area more often, scored more goals and claimed more assists than Amrabat. But if United are looking for a player who can help them keep possession of the ball and build up play effectively, which the complete lack of control against Wolves suggests they should, Amrabat seems the right choice out of the pair.
