Man United and Manchester City both have games available to watch in the first three rounds of the 2023/24 WSL season
The 2023/24 Women’s Super League season is nearly here with broadcasters Sky Sports and the BBC picking the top-tier clashes to cover in the opening weeks of the campaign.
Manchester United’s away clash at Villa Park against Aston Villa has already been selected for TV coverage on the opening day of the season on October 1. And now, Sky Sports and the BBC have chosen their showcase games for the second and third rounds of women's top-flight football. There will be six matches with TV coverage, two of which are taking place in main stadiums and two of which will involve Manchester clubs.View gallery First up, Sky Sports will cover United’s first home game of the season at Leigh Sports Village against Arsenal on Friday, October 6. Kick-off for that one is scheduled for 7:30pm.
Manchester City will host Chelsea at the Academy Stadium on Sunday, October 8 in front of the BBC cameras, with BBC Two the channel needed if you want to watch the game which kicks off at 12:30 pm. TV coverage bypasses the Manchester clubs on the following weekend as United take on Leicester and City host Bristol City. Both games will be available to watch via The FA Player app for free, as will all other WSL ties not mentioned.
