Man shot outside Miramar bar [Breaking]
San Diego homicide detectives are investigating an altercation in the parking lot of a Miramar area bar that resulted in the fatal shooting of an unidentified man,
Police were called to the Filling Station bar on Miramar Road west of Kearny Villa Road just after 2 a.m., when a man was reportedly shot. The 37-year-old victim was transported to a nearby hospital. “Several hours later, unfortunately, he passed away as a result of the injuries received at the shooting at the bar,” said Lt. Andra Brown, a San Diego Police Department spokesperson.
Two suspects were seeing driving away from the scene in a black car, Brown said. They are both believed to be between 25 and 30 years old; one is Black and one is White.The bar, formerly known as the Off Base, is close in proximity to the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar. But “there is no indication that it’s military personnel involved,” Brown said.
Several witnesses apparently left the scene before police arrived, Brown added. She urged anyone with information to call police or contact the anonymous Crime Stoppers. tip line at 580-8477.
