Police said a 54-year-old man got into a verbal altercation with a 42-year-old woman inside a residence in the 1700 block of North Mayfield Avenue.
A man shot a woman during an argument early Monday morning in the Austin neighborhood, and then he shot and killed himself, according to Chicago police. The man produced a handgun at about 12:02 a.m., shooting the woman in the leg.
She was transported to Loyola University Medical Center in good condition, police said. The man then shot himself in the head and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Police said officers recovered a weapon, and are investigating the shooting. [email protected]
