Danny Eaves said he grabbed a pair of gloves after hearing a woman's screams on the street
Danny Eaves, from Walton, was sitting at home at around 5.30pm on Monday, October 17, when he heard a noise outside. Once he got up to look out his window and check what was going on he saw one person on the floor and an XL bully dog attacking a black springer spaniel on Walton Road.
Danny told The ECHO: "I just grabbed a pair of gloves and went straight out. I held onto the XL bully's jaw and managed to release the dog to the owner so they could get it away. The former security worker said by "some miracle" he did not have a scratch on him following the incident. "I'm hoping it just had the dog by the skin on its neck, I didn't see if the spaniel was okay as I had the XL bully. I've had dogs all my life so I've lost enough brain cells to run into something like that."
