Salt Lake City Police have arrested a man in connection with the fatal shooting of 41-year-old Florida man outside the Salt Palace Convention Center on Saturday.

The 22-year-old man who was arrested in the case was booked on suspicion of murder and aggravated robbery. He is not believed to be the shooter. Police also believe members of the group that attacked Knight took items out of his pockets, including a cellphone and money. The shooter and at least one other person associated with him ran into a nearby parking garage and left in a car, according to witness statements to police.
“The altercation was not affiliated with our Sneaker Con event,” Wu wrote, “nor did the suspected three-shell monte orchestrators attend our event.”
