A man has been jailed for stealing a bus and driving it for 10 miles in Nottingham. Josh Redfern, 25, crashed into a parked car before abandoning the bus in Derby. He was identified through CCTV footage and arrested. Redfern admitted to aggravated vehicle taking, failing to stop after an accident, driving while disqualified, and driving without insurance. He received a 12-month prison sentence.

He drove through a red light and crashed into a parked car, before going on to drive for 10 more miles. He then dumped the bus in Borrowash, Derby.

Redfern was told the sentence reflected the fact he committed the offences while on a suspended prison sentence for drug-related offences.
