A man was injured after a shooting Thursday night in an East Oakland neighborhood, authorities said.
Shortly before 9:15 p.m., police responded to reports of ShotSpotter activity at East 10th Avenue and Ninth Street east of the city’s Merritt neighborhood.
When officers arrived around 9:30 p.m., they found a male in his 40s suffering from a gunshot wound to his right arm. The victim, who was conscious and breathing, received care from officers and paramedics.Police did not initially provide details about any associated suspect or vehicle, or the circumstances that led up to the shooting.
