Man hospitalized after being shot multiple times in East Oakland
A man was shot multiple times in a drive-by shooting Sunday morning in East Oakland, authorities said.
The man suffered gunshot wounds to his arm and back when someone in another vehicle opened fire on him at about 11:20 a.m. Sunday while he was on the 9000 block of MacArthur Boulevard, near 90th Avenue, authorities said. The man was in a car at the time and tried to drive himself to the hospital, but police and paramedics spotted him less than a mile from the scene of the shooting and began rendering care.A motive for the shooting is unclear, and no arrests have been announced.
A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest in the shooting. Anyone with tips can contact Oakland police at 510-238-3426 or Oakland Crime Stoppers at 510-777-8572.
