Man held knife to terrified partner's neck and told her 'you're going to die tonight'
An abusive boyfriend held an eight-inch knife to his terrified girlfriend's throat while they were on holiday at a caravan site and told her: 'You're going to die tonight'. The victim tried to escape Stuart Jones's clutches but he dragged her back into the caravan while she was in tears, Wales Online reports.
His ex partner had received concerning texts from Jones and went back to their accommodation where she discovered him in the bedroom. Cardiff Crown Court heard on Friday that the defendant then came into the living room and repeatedly punched the victim in the head before grabbing her hair and by the throat.
Witnesses who saw the incident described the victim as appearing distressed and being in tears. The 44-year-old took a knife out the drawer and placed it under the victims chin with some applied force. During his police interview, Jones of Charles Street, Porth claims that he was unaware he had caused any real harm to the victim and informed officers: "I have a way out, I'm going to kill myself."
