The suspect is in critical condition at a hospital in Toledo, but the 7-month-old infant died from injuries in the crash, Tiffin police say.
TIFFIN, Ohio — A man accused of abducting a 7-month-old child crashed into a home Tuesday while trying to escape from police, killing the baby and leaving the suspect in critical condition, police say.
Police say the suspect had contacted the child’s mother and said he was feeling suicidal and had killed the baby. Pauly did not say what relationship the suspect has with the child. The later died, but the suspect was flown by helicopter to St. Vincent Hospital in Toledo. He was in critical condition.
