A man was fatally shot Monday night during an apparent home invasion robbery in southeast Houston, according to Houston police. Officers were dispatched to a shooting around 9 p.m. at the 2000 block of Allen Genoa Road near Richey Street and found a man — in his 40s — fatally shot in the stairwell of an apartment complex, HPD added.There is no suspect description at this time and it is unclear if the victim was by himself at the residence when the incident took place, police added.
Homicide investigators will be canvassing the area to speak with potential witnesses, according to police.
