Deputies canvas nearby hotels after a man was found dead from gunshot wounds near Interstate 10 in east Harris County.A man died early Thursday in a shooting in east Harris County and deputies were canvassing hotels near Interstate 10 in hopes of finding the person responsible, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies around 12:30 a.m. responded to a report of a shooting in the 16900 block of Interstate 10 and discovered a man, in his 30s, lying on the sidewalk of the feeder road, Sgt. Sidney Miller, of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, told On Scene reporters. The man had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead.Witnesses told detectives they saw another man running from the scene shortly after hearing gunshots, Miller said.
