Brandon Kaiser, one of the men charged in the shooting involving Crawford County judges in 2019, has been found guilty of aggravated battery. The shooting occurred outside of a downtown Indianapolis White Castle restaurant.
Brandon Kaiser was convicted on seven out of eight felony charges and one misdemeanor by a jury after a 3-day jury trial.
In 2020, Kaiser’s attorney’s filed documents with the court that Kaiser and his friends were acting in self defense against the group of judges. Adams accepted a plea agreement to plead guilty to battery resulting in bodily injury in September 2019. Under the plea agreement, prosecutors agreed to dismiss six additional charges against Adams. He received a suspended sentence of 365 days. Adams has also petitioned to be reinstated to the bench.

It should come as little surprise considering how ubiquitous these busy and social insects are and the fact that they have thrived since the age of dinosaurs, with the oldest-known ant fossil dating back about 100 million years to the Cretaceous Period. 'Ants certainly play a very central role in almost every terrestrial ecosystem,' said entomologist Patrick Schultheiss of the University of Würzburg in Germany and the University of Hong Kong, co-lead author of the study published this week in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
