Charles Wilson, known locally as Chic, was found dead inside the Tontine Park property on the morning of Saturday, March 25.
A man arrested in connection with the death of a man in Renton has now been charged, police have said.
Emergency services were called to a fire in the flat at around 7am. After the blaze was extinguished, Chic's body was discovered inside a bedroom. Following a post-mortem examination police revealed they were treating the death as murder. A major probe has been launched and top detectives from Police Scotland’s Major Investigation Team are leading the case.
On Saturday morning, Police Scotland said a 42-year-old man arrested on Friday has since been charged in connection with the death and is due to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Monday, April 3.
