, found dead in his car in east Houston after nearby residents reported hearing gunshots.
Keivon Sharmon Howard, 27, is charged with murder in connection with the death of Christopher Chaisson Bedford, 42, according to the Houston Police Department. Investigators allege Bedford was sitting in his vehicle in an apartment complex parking lot when Howard came toward him with an assault rifle and fired at him multiple times before fleeing.
Neighbors discovered Bedford’s body early the next morning, inside an SUV in the 8000 block of Bucroft Street, officials said.
