After rolling in late Tuesday, the storm had already left more than a foot or more of snow overnight in some areas. The Utah Department of Transportation is advising drivers to stay off roads “until conditions improve.” The Utah Avalanche Center also warned Wednesday that avalanche danger is considered “high” across the state. “Travel in avalanche terrain is not recommended.”The snow is expected to taper off by 5 p.m. Less than inch is expected between 5-8 p.m., and little or no accumulation is forecast overnight or on Thursday or Friday.
This isn’t the end of winter weather, however. There’s a chance of snow on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
