'How can human beings be so cruel to one another?'
Madonna has voiced her opinion on the Hamas-Israel conflict Madonna has addressed the Hamas-Israel war in an emotional speech while performing on her Celebration tour. Calling for ‘peace’, the 65-year-old choked back tears as she added she felt it was ‘irresponsible’ for her to remain silent. The Hung Up singer has finally begun her postponed tour after health scares earlier this year and kicked off the performances with sold out shows at London’s O2 Arena.
She asked fans to shine a light as she discussed the conflict The war has been escalating since then with the SAS prepared to ‘step in and help British hostages’. Madonna added: ‘We have to remember that we are human beings here, we cannot lose our humanity. Our hearts may be broken but our spirits cannot.’ She urged the audience to bring enough candles into the world to make a difference, asking if London was with her.
